FCC Will Host Cybersecurity Workshops in May

The Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau will host cybersecurity workshops for broadcasters and telecommunications carriers featuring speakers from the FCC, federal partners, and industry experts to highlight emerging cybersecurity risks, share and promote adoption of best practices, and highlight opportunities for public-private partnership on cybersecurity issues facing telecommunications providers.

The broadcast workshop will be held on May 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. EDT, and the telecommunications carrier workshop will be held on May 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. EDT.  The workshops, free and open to the public, can be attended in-person at the FCC’s headquarters, located at 45 L Street NE, Washington, D.C. 20554, or via livestream.  You can register for the workshops here.

These workshops are being held at a time when cybersecurity threats continue to grow in frequency and sophistication, placing many companies at risk of operational disruption, regulatory scrutiny, or breach-related litigation.
